Dealer desking and trading floor workstations typically offer a combination of multi-screen infrastructure, very high cabling capacity, and optional hardware spaces, to achieve an efficient set up both for services and for the trader working at the desk.

Alongside this, dealing room furniture can offer quick release hardware fixings, height adjustable worksurfaces, and durable worksurfaces to withstand the demands of the trading room environment.

Heat is a major consideration within Trading desk and dealer desk installations. The thermal output of the computer hardware can easily exceed the cooling capabilities of the office, or produce localised hotspots that are uncomfortable to work in and harmful to the equipment.

The two trading desks systems shown here include well designed airflow routes to conduct heated air up and out of the hardware zones. These routes can be readily mated to underfloor air supplies so that chilled air can be ducted into the furniture. For extreme installations a water-cooled upgrade is available to provide a secondary thermal conduit.

Chilled, Sound Absorbent, Ceiling system

High concentrations of heat-generating hardware in dealing environments make cooling systems a vital component in the trading environment. The images below show a ceiling system designed to absorb sound using an acoustic panel, which incoporates chilled water piping to remove heat.

This system is tried and tested throughout European office/commercial environments.
