"With fear, you must prevent not cure. Fear must never be allowed to take hold in the first place."
"Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE is to open the Big Tent on the Common for the 2016 10th anniversary of Wimbledon BookFest.
Officially one of the Greatest Britons, Sir Ranulph was the first man to reach both poles by surface travel and the first to cross the Antarctic Continent unsupported.
Join Sir Ranulph in adventurous journeys and inhospitable destinations from the polar seas to the summit of Everest. In addition to his many well known polar and mountaineering achievements, Sir Ranulph Fiennes has: failed his A Levels, run seven marathons three months after a heart attack and discovered the lost city of Ubar on the Yemini border."
