Green Week celebrated at IOR
Created on 22/06/18
Monday 18th July - Friday 22nd July
IOR has well and truly celebrated ‘Green Week’. The Green and Wellbeing Team organised plenty of fun and exciting activities, raising funds for charity and awareness of sustainability issues. Take a look and see what could inspire your work team.
Meat Free Monday – the team cooked up a tasty 3-bean chilli, complete with brown rice, guacamole and corn chips – a vegan and package-free lunch that fed 30 people. Funds raised were donated to benefit the Vineyard Project, a local food bank for the homeless and those in crisis.
Morning Bootcamp – 7.45am workout in Old Deer Park with a local personal trainer. Exercising in the morning before work is a great way to boost mood, reduce stress levels and increase energy and alertness.
Carbon Free Commute – Friday the IOR team opted for more sustainable modes to get to work, including walking, cycling and even kayaking.
Single Use Plastics – refillable water bottles, reusable containers for takeaway drinks and glass milk bottles instead of plastic. Review of unwanted packaging and stationary, kitchen and bathroom supplies. View IOR’s Single-use Plastic Initiatives
