Located in The Gherkin in The City, Sutherland took the opportunity of a departing subtenant to refurbish their workplace and make it work harder for their requirements.A key element of the re-design was a reconfigurable and multi-functional space, with different settings for alternative ways of working. This was achieved in the breakout space, where agile working and collaboration has been embraced.Sutherland’s identity in the entrance space was very important to them. Through working closely with the landlord, IOR successfully designed a route through the building’s core to facilitate a secondary entrance for the subtenant, retaining the main entrance space for Sutherland.
