IOR sustainable credentials

Our approach to sustainability

Sustainability is integral to all our projects. Every element of our design is assessed against sustainable criteria: not only materials, but also considerations such as maximising natural light and minimising energy consumption.

We practice high sustainability standards in our own office. Year on year we aim to reduce our carbon footprint, then offset any remaining carbon credits by investing in projects across the globe.

In 2013 - 2014 we reduced our emissions by 15 tonnes. The IOR Green Team chose to offset these carbon credits by investing in the Wuhe Kaidi Biomass  Project, China, where agricultural waste is used to generate heat and electricity, whilst reducing the community’s reliance on fossil fuels by 106,000 tonnes carbon per year.
